Playing Catch Up

So, I'm not that great at posting but goal is to do better this year, which means at least three posts right? I think I can do that! Since I missed so much from 2012 my first post will show the highlights! Starting with.....We went on vacation, and it was a blast! For about a week we traveled around New York City, Maine and Boston where we got to visit Sams sister and her family. We also got to travel home a few times to see Clara off on her mission, for summer fun, and then for Christmas. Every fall our back yard fills with beautiful leaves and this year we finally got out to take some pictures of it. I also started hair school right after we got back from vacation. Well that's pretty much what our year looked like. Enjoy!

Spring Time Flower Planting!

Growing up I was surrounded with family planting flowers and gardens. On both sides of my family my grandparents would plant anything and everything especially my Grandma and Grandpa Farnsworth. That desire for planting and gardening I've decided was embedded into my parents as well and is evident from their numerous trees, big garden, and many flowers. Many mornings during the summer I remember being woken up much earlier than the rest of the world I'm sure to go out and pick weeds in the garden or mow the lawn. Now that I'm out of the house and in my own home I see all these beautiful flowers plopping up all over and I realize that I need them in my yard! So Sam and I recently went and purchased pots and flowers and began planting. And as soon as I have a bigger yard it's only going to get bigger and better and then our kids will go through the same torture I thought I was going through. :) But here are some pictures of our spring endeavors, we are pretty proud of them!

Well here goes it, my first blog. Truth is I had a hard time figuring out what my first blog should be about but finally decided I'd choose something I've recently accomplished. And that would be snowboarding. I can finally carve like a normal person, and it only took a year to do and major help from Sam and Annie! For the longest time all I could do was zig-zag back and forth but after Annie worked with me I was able to carve by the end of the night. I'm still no pro but it makes snowboarding so much more enjoyable. Then about a month later Sam and I were able to go snowboarding with my family though they were skiing. It was Jed and Jake's first time but after a couple hours on the bunny hill they had it down. My Dad had not gone skiing in about twenty years but picked it up like it had been no time at all. It was also my first time on the very top of the mountain and it was so beautiful!
